Tocai Friulano 100%

Vineyard

Flat well drained ground, with dolomitic limestone and clay texture. Guyot and Sylvoz styles of pruning with an average density of 4,200 vines/ha.

Vinification Techniques

Vinification in white, by immediately separating the skins from the must, by soft pressing. Fermented at 15-16°C with selected yeasts for 12-15 days.

A straw yellow wine with a greenish tinge and a bouquet of peach leaves and walnut husks. The flavour is soft, velvety, earthy and vigorous, with a typical overtone of bitter almonds.

Best Served With

It goes well with hors d’oeuvres such as ham, melon amd mixed pork salami. Also with “Baccalà mantecato” Venetian style creamed cod and excellent with soups and pasta, in particular if made with seafood. To be served at a temperature of 10-12°C in tulip shaped glasses.

Preservation

Keep bottles stored in a cool, dry place away from light, where possible horizontally.
