Wine Company Fonded in 1989
Identity
We are proud that our wines are the expression of the principal denominations of the Verona area: the great white, Soave; the Lessini Durello sparkling wine; and the jewels of Valpolicella’s winemaking tradition.
For the impressive Cantina di Soave, every glass of wine is the fruit of a shared dream, of the passionate commitment of an entire team, of expertise carefully honed over the years.
For us, our local corner of earth is a precious treasure; that is the true wellspring of our dedication to developing and promoting appreciation of the native grapes of our area.
Soave, Valpolicella, Durello - The Icons of Our Identity
A single term that is at once the name of the romantic Medieval town in which our winery was founded, the name of a wine. Nowhere but in the case of Soave, in fact, does the name of a wine express so felicitously its soul, its qualities of pleasurableness, harmony, and thorough elegance.
Cantina di Soave currently manages 48% of the vineyards in the Soave denomination and 43% of those in the Soave Classico zone.
Emotion is the perfect word to use in describing the great red wines produced by Cantina di Soave, wines that are grown in the valleys of Illasi, Cazzano, and Mezzane, all jewels of the Valpolicella denomination. They find their most noble level of expression in Amarone, an aristocratic, utterly elegant red that is famous throughout the world.
Cantina di Soave currently manages 49% of the vineyards in the Valpolicella DOC zone.
A superb sparkling wine that jealously contains the unique sensory impressions of the growing area that yields it. Its name pays tribute to the impressive character of the native Durella grape, whose roots go deep into the volcanic soils in the Monte Lessini area. The result is a totally distinctive sparkling wine whose distinguishing hallmark is its citrusy crispness—impossible to forget.
Cantina di Soave currently manages 70% of the vineyards in the Lessini Durello DOC growing area.
The Origins of Quality
Cantina di Soave boasts a software-based system installed in 1997, then further developed over the years, incorporating ever more-advanced functions. Directed by Agronomy Director Giuseppe Rama and by Technical Director Filippo Pedron, this system, extremely sophisticated and unlike any other in the world, allows real-time monitoring of all the vineyards belonging to Cantina di Soave’s grower-members, analysing data relating to soils, weather, vineyard health, and a host of out viticultural factors.
When the grapes are brought into the cellar, the clusters are analysed and selected according to a full 17 different parameters. This from grape-to-bottle monitoring system makes it possible to achieve extremely high levels of quality.
