History



Salento in Barca® (trademark registered at the Lecce Chamber of Commerce on May 26, 2005). He was born in Gallipoli on 10 August 2004 from the idea of two brothers, Maria Teresa and Cristian Casalino. There have been numerous requests from tourists and from Salento themselves who wanted to know, even from the sea, our beautiful Salento aboard a characteristic and comfortable Paranza.



Sailing without haste with the Grotte Tour departing from the Tourist Port of Torre I go aboard the Maxi-Catamaran-Yacht "Utopia" to admire the caves on the Ionian and Adriatic side and the circumnavigation of the lighthouse of Santa Maria di Leuca. It is also possible to extend the tour with a visit to the Porto Selvaggio Marine Park up to the Torre del Pizzo with a well-deserved stop in the Regional Park of the Island of Sant’Andrea.




An evolution of fishing tourism and an original itinerary, including food and wine, to taste our specialties and our wines with a unique setting that only the Salento coast can offer.



Salento in Barca® is also a reality for those who already love fishing or for those approaching fishing for the first time by offering fishing trips, diving with day and night dives and parties on board. These sectors have allowed us to seasonally adjust a purely summer activity.




Over the years we have invested heavily in promoting the Salento in Barca® brand through our website, brochures, posters and by participating in tourist fairs such as: BIT in Milan, Globe in Rome, Dolcevita in London, Newtravel Show in New York.



Thanks to this promotion, La Television became aware of us. We hosted Osvaldo Bevilacqua on board with the cameras of “Sereno Variabile” (broadcast on Rai 2 on 30 May 2007), Telenorba with the broadcast “Buon Vento” (2 August 2008) and Studio100 on Puglia Channel (23 August 2008), Rai 1, Linea Blu. Specialized national magazines such as “Dove”, “Traveler”, “inViaggio” have talked about us.




Newspapers such as "Quotidiano" and "Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno"; Guide 2010 "Puglia and Basilicata" of "Lonely Planet".
