History

Cristina Maria Caione was born in Roma and attended classical studies. She graduated with honors in Business Administration at University Luiss Guido Carli, and she specialized in Marketing for Fashion and Luxury in Paris at the Ecole of Commerce EAP - ESCP. She was 23 year old when she worked with her first workshop at Yoox France between Paris, Bologna and Rome in 2003.

In 2005 she became journalist for the fashion industry and she started collaborations with many national and international newspapers. She worked for companies such as Bulgari, Rai and Telecom Italia, in the field of Communication and Marketing projects.

From 2015 to 2017 she worked in web Communication and Graphics of an e-commerce website and she met many entrepreneurial realities of expert craftsmen in home décor, jewelry and accessories. She started collaborations with some Made in Italy companies for the development of new lines of fashion accessories.

Cristina had always a great passion for product design and accessories, in particular, and this passion leads her to deepen her studies in design and style. In 2018 she began fashion studies to obtain a two-year diploma in Fashion Design with a specialization in Accessories and Jewelry design.

From 2017 she starts working on her personal project, the brand Kristina MC, totally Made in Italy. In 2019 Cristina also starts a new project on jewelry. From 2017 he starts working on his personal project, the brand of bags and small leather goods Kristina MC, which shows his initials, totally Made in Italy.

She makes use of important companies and workshops that take care of the production also for other important Italian brands and start her first collections, where the choice of fabrics and leathers and their special combination are able to give shape to small pieces of art. In 2019 Cristina also starts a new project on jewelry.

Le Collezioni

"Fashion instills positive vibrations, it is interpretation, a response to the contemporary in respect of the important heritage of Made in Italy". Almost all mini bags, each creation is designed to be a limited edition piece.

These small wearable art objects follow the trends of each season and reflect two main characteristics: portability and lightness. Art and fashion, the two main sources of inspiration, merge together in a single fashion object.

A fundamental characteristic is to create a perfect and crackling mix in colors, strong and contrasting with each other, and in materials: from leathers to fabrics and, among the fabrics, brocades, jacquards, gabardines and embroidery.

The target is a strong, tenacious woman looking for a taste herself. A woman who walks in the street and knows she is looked at, pleasing herself. She is certainly a little Lolita. She is attentive to new and international trends.

She likes to follow street style, she loves to combine the branded garment with the vintage one recovered from her mother's wardrobe, she is passionate about research, she discovers the emerging designers and believes in the value of Made in Italy.

Three are the themes followed that also strongly belong to the Cristina's personality.

Exotic

Dedicated to travels, to exotic peoples, their cultures, their symbols, their tradition which the designer met during her travels. From the Maya, to the decorations of oriental ceramics. Metal applications of animals, butterflies, beetles, colors related to sand, earth and the exotic forest.

Candy

For a softer Lolita mood, sparkling and pastel colors, nuances of soft tones with brighter and more sharp shades. With precious leathers, crystals and minerals, semi-precious stones, nappa plissè leather, the accessory becomes a jewel.

Pop Garden

Timeless 70's with their cult and style trends that never go out of fashion. The POP Garden collection is inspired by Bill Blass's Pop mood, floral fabrics and stripes by Walter Albini and it focuses on brocade and jaquard, among contrasting colors of nappa and calf leather, floral fabrics and embroidered trimmings. These elements become distinguishing mark of the bags with metallic studs and special closures.

Double handles, chain straps, coupled nappa and fabric shoulder straps make small bags unique pieces to wear easily and with decision.

Materials

Kristina MC uses top quality leathers and selected materials from the most important trade fairs. The production is carried out entirely in Italy, thanks to the collaboration with laboratories of expert artisans who also work for numerous and important brands in Rome, Padua and Campobasso.

For the production, she took agreement with important companies and workshops that follow the production also for other important Italian brands and she started the first collections, where the choice of fabrics and leathers and their special combination are able to give shape to small pieces of art.
Each item is unique or in limited edition, to wear, love and collect. It is made by expert hands of professional craftsmen while the fabrics and leathers are carefully selected through careful and constant research in the most important trade fairs in the sectors following the scouting of suppliers, but also through the recovery of remnants used in haute couture and so unique and rare materials to find.
