Exclusively made from Dankowskie Diamond rye grown by Lake Bartężek and the Smogóry Forest, discover a vodka series that captures the distinctive flavor of unique environments.
Single Estate Rye: Lake Bartężek - Crafted by Master Rye Distillers
Crafted with rare Diamond Dankowskie Rye from a single estate located on the shores of Lake Bartężek in Poland’s Masurian Lake District, this exceptionally fresh, smooth and delicate vodka reflects the unique terroir of its estate. Snowy, cold winters stress the rye and develop the vodka’s delicate, refined character – more reminiscent of the region’s calm lakes than its harsh climate.
The Single Estate Rye Series celebrates Belvedere’s craftsmanship and expertise in vodka distilling, as well as our ability to produce vodkas of complex character. When tasted side by side, the two vodkas deliver demonstrably different taste profiles, illustrating the variation of terroir on the same Dankowskie Diamond rye grown in each unique location.
Single Estate Rye: Smogóry Forest - Crafted by Master Rye Distillers
Smogóry Forest is crafted with rare Diamond Dankowskie rye from a single estate located in Smogóry, a tiny village in rural Western Poland surrounded by the region’s vast, pristine forests. This exceptionally bold, robust and savory vodka captures the essence of its unspoiled region, recalling the dense hardwood forests dominating the terroir.

Our Philosophy - Master Rye Distillers
Belvedere’s Master Rye Distillers are experts in crafting rye in new ways, drawing out its depth and dimension.
It takes skill, passion and a strong heritage to turn simple, natural ingredients into extraordinary spirits.
Belvedere’s Master Rye Distillers draw their expertise from Poland’s 600-year vodka making tradition. In fact, the first reference to vodka in Poland is dated 1405, meaning ‘little water.’
Working from a distillery that has been operating since 1910, Belvedere’s Master Rye Distillers have a passion for showcasing the complexity of Polish rye; expertly crafting it into pioneering new spirits that display its potential to impart distinct flavors.
Belvedere’s distillation process by fire creates the final transformation of the rye and water into a liquid of incredible depth, complexity and taste. A delicate balance of science and fine art, our distillers use a proprietary process that applies heat to inspire and transform the Polish rye, unlocking its hidden potential.
Masterfully Crafted From Nature
A natural, simple approach is at the heart of the Belvedere brand. This begins with the process our Master Rye Distillers use to craft our spirits. Every ingredient that goes into their time-honored process is held to the exacting standards of Poland’s legal regulations of Polish Vodka, which dictate that no artificial flavors can be added. Belvedere’s rye is sourced from just eight local agricultural partners, enabling 100 % traceability of the grain. This allows the distillers to understand the conditions and features of the land, and how it impacts the distinctive flavors they can draw out from within the grain.
Our distillers combine this heritage grain with water purified through an 11-step process, creating a neutral stage that allows the nuanced and dynamic flavors of the rye to shine. From two main ingredients brought together through a process inspired by centuries of expert Polish distilling, a liquid of incredible depth, complexity and taste is born.
A Mission to Nourish the Land
Our purpose is driven from an inherent respect for the land and our mission is to nourish it. We’ve declared a series of ambitions and goals to deliver on this mission. Three key initiatives under three umbrellas: green energy, organic product and sustainable packaging are at the heart of this process.
Within the green energy umbrella, Belvedere has implemented an aggressive CO2 reduction and renewable energy plan and has set two crucial goals – to reduce energy related CO2 emissions by 80 % by 2022 to then become energy carbon neutral by the end of the same year.
Belvedere has also begun innovating in the organic space. All of our product innovations will be organic beginning in 2021. We are currently working with our agriculture partners in Poland on the transition to 100 % organic farming starting from 2023.
Sustainable packaging is another critical priority for Belvedere. We are actively auditing supply chain vendors to abide by a 100 % green code of conduct, with the goal of reducing plastic by 50 % by 2025.
Find out more about these initiatives, and our commitment to nature.
Made In Poland
Belvedere, the first super-premium vodka, represents 600 years of Polish Vodka-making tradition. Our distillery is one of the world’s longest continuously operating facilities, making vodka since 1910.
Small and intimate, the distillery delivers Belvedere’s signature consistent quality and has been recognized by the European Commission for its aggressive sustainability agenda, having reduced CO2 emissions by 42 % since 2012.
Belvedere’s production is regulated by the Polish Vodka legal regulation, one of the strictest in the world. As the appellation dictates, all production must take place on Polish soil, the spirit must be made of either grain or potato, and nothing else can be added.
Our Commitment - Belvedere Vodka is Created by a Collective
From our eight local Polish rye sources, to our family of employees who distill Belvedere in our hometown of Zyrardów in Poland, our shared mission is to nourish the land we share and protect its natural character for future generations.
Green Energy
From 2012 to 2017, Belvedere cut energy CO2 emissions by 42% by shifting fuel sources. In 2018, we became the first spirits distillery to receive a grant from the European Commission to pilot an ambitious green energy initiative that saw the installation of a biomass capture facility on site in 2021. The new plant will start producing 100 % renewable energy, subsequently reducing energy-related CO2 emissions by 80 % for Belvedere to then become fully energy carbon neutral in 2022.
Organic Product
From 2021 on, all innovations will be organic. Having received our certification for organic production, we are currently working with our agriculture partners in Poland on the transition to 100% organic farming starting from 2023.
Sustainable Packaging
Sustainable packaging is a key priority for Belvedere. We have the goal of eliminating 100 % of single-use plastic by 2022. At the same time, we implemented eco-design for our new products and point of sales materials, with a commitment to reduce the quantity of secondary and packaging material, achieve 90 % recyclability for all materials, and have long-life solutions rather than one-time use. By 2025, we are committed to further reducing the use of plastic by 50 % and use up to 50 % of recycled plastic.
Local Sustainability Initiatives
Belvedere’s distillery has a long history in supporting sustainability within our community. Only sourcing our Polish rye locally, we have worked to nurture long-term relationships with Polish agricultural sources and are the co-founders of the Foundation for Local Environmental Protection.
We also started the Raw Spirit Program, launched in partnership with the Technical University of Lodz to promote the sustainable growth of Polish rye.
Crafted by Master Rye Distillers
Made With Nature - Made from Polish rye, purified water and a distillation process by fire, Belvedere contains zero additives, is certified kosher, and is produced in accordance with the legal regulations of Polish vodka that dictate nothing can be added.
Produced in one of the world’s longest operating polish distilleries that has been making vodka since 1910, Belvedere’s Master Rye Distillers draw from a 600-year polish vodka-making history to artfully craft Polish rye into an extraordinary vodka of distinct taste and character.
