Azienda Olearia del Chianti was founded in 1985 in Panzano in Chianti, half way between Florence and Siena, in the heart of the Chianti district, an area where olive groves and vineyards are an integral part of the landscape and of ancient cultural traditions.
Azienda Olearia del Chianti is an example of a company which has made quality and innovation its winning card as it is confirmed by the positive results which place the company in a position of leadership in the field of the sale of extra virgin olive oil.
The secrets of this success are determination, service and a constant search for quality, as well as significant investments in state- of-the-art machinery. The Company has four bottling lines for both glass and tin containers.
Mainly is bottled 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil, but are also available certified biological oil, USDA organic oil, JAS, CANADA organic oil, BIO Suisse, IGP Tuscan oil and DOP Chianti Classico oil. The Company has implemented a quality certificate system ISO 9001:2000, IFS, BRC, KOSHER.
The Company, guided firmly and with a team spirit by the Gonnelli family, enjoys a flexible and dynamic spirit, working with a group of people who are united by their great interest and professionalism into a team which moves forward with confidence to the future and innovations.
Quality and technology
A new modern plant with annexe laboratories of analysis covering a surface of 5200 sq. meters equipped by 4 filling lines with tanks and filling pipes suitable to each kind of oil which are able to guarantee a production over than 20.000 bottles per hour, in different capacities: 15ml, 30ml, 100ml, 250ml, 500ml, 750ml, 1lt, 3lt, 5lt (glass and tin).
A careful quality control on the filling lines is assured by employing the most modern equipment and technologies and by a team of people responsible of the bottling process constantly updated and formed during stages and courses.
The high quality standard of the pureness and genuineness is guaranteed by serious chemical, physical, organoleptic controls involving the complete production process (from the arrival at the plant of the oil in tank trucks to the bottling and at last packaging).

How to store properly extra virgin olive oil
Some recommendations are to be followed in order to preserve the freshness of the extra virgin olive oil: keep and store it in a dry cool place, away from direct light and heating sources.
In this way the oxidation process will be clearly retarded, consequently the freshness is guaranteed for much more time.
How to taste extra virgin olive oil
To recognize a good extra virgin olive oil we recommend to use it on a bread slice lightly roasted or boiled potatoes. Hot sensation enhances its merits (fruity taste, bitter almond, artichoke and grassy after-taste) or exalts imperfections (as rancid, mold, earthy).
Beneficial properties of the extra virgin olive oil
The extra virgin olive oil is a fundamental element of the Mediterranean diet and is synonymous of taste and health.
The extra virgin olive oil contains powerful antioxidants, vitamin E and polyphenol, substances that have the task of defending cells from early aging and from some tumor types..
