Greetings, I am MariaGiusy, the creator of CapriNina, my passion for handcrafting bags has its roots in my earliest childhood memories. Since I was a little girl, I have carefully preserved drawers filled with drawings, dreams, and emotions, waiting for the moment when I would become an adult.

With the passage of time, this passion has grown and evolved. I have always challenged myself, striving to surpass every occasion and find new inspirations to keep alive the same creative "spirit" my mother passed down to me, combined with the same determination my father employed to create something truly unique, never neglecting the details.

Every day, I sit down at my desk and begin sketching and crocheting. In each creation I make, I do not only put in my effort and skills, but most importantly, I put in myself, my emotions, and my heart.

For me, every "creature" that takes shape is unique, and when each bag leaves my workshop, it contains a piece of me that accompanies it around the world. As Steve Jobs once said, and even before that, as my mother always repeated (in different words but with the same meaning), "Your work takes up a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do."

My mother has always been my reference point, the engine of our family along with my father, the creative mind. They have transmitted to me the value and beauty of handmade creations. I remember when my mother walked to work and found a flower or leaf she liked: she would collect them and, with clay (we had a ceramics workshop), she would faithfully reproduce them, creating edges on platters, plates, and anything that inspired her. Thanks to her and her teachings, every time I walk through Capri, I am able to grasp the shapes, colors, and emotions that I then transfer into what I create. That is why I feel a bit like a bearer of emotions, hoping to be able to convey them to anyone who wears my bags... like a talisman to carry everywhere because everywhere there is a need for "magic"...
