Winemaking

This typical Tuscan wine requires careful processing with different transfers and fermentations at controlled temperature. It takes 17 months before the wine acquires its characteristic ruby red color and boasts of the prestigious Chianti DOCG label.

This wine is born from the union of Sangiovese grapes (90%) and other vines selected by the producer (10%) in order to obtain different aromas and flavors.

Grapes are harvested manually, cleaned and subjected to a small pressure. The compound is then brought to maceration in steel tanks where it will remain at controlled temperature for 22 days.

Aging

The wine is poured into oak barrels where malolactic fermentation takes place in the end of November and stays there for 30 months.

The wine is then placed in stainless steel tanks for a month before undergoing a slight filtration and bottling. Principe del Sole, Chianti Riserva remains in the cellar for six months in bottle before going to the market.

Recommended for red meats, game, roasts, cheeses and tasty pasta dishes.

Gustative Notes

Characteristic ruby red color and aromas with a scent of red fruit. On the palate it is enveloping and cool thanks to its tannins.
