It was born in Franciacorta in 1977 by the will of the entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti, who decided that year to transform a small wine business founded on a few hectares owned by the family into a company. They are located on the Bellavista hill, so named for the splendid position that, from a single point, embraces Lake Iseo and the entire Po valley up to the Alps. With foresight, Vittorio Moretti pays particular attention to the purchase of new vineyards up to the current 203 hectares of vineyards, included in the area of vocation of the "Franciacorta".

Wonderful is the name that Vittorio Moretti has chosen for this rare Cuvée reserve, an incredibly complex and articulated Franciacorta, as intense as it is refined. Made in only 5,000 magnums, it is driven by the ambition to reach ever higher levels and win new challenges. The final assembly is done with part of the Vittorio Moretti reserve wines kept in the cellar of 6 vintages: 1984, 1988, 1991, 1995, 2001 and 2002, stored in large formats of 6 and 9 liters, at low pressure, and used precisely as a liqueur. An unrivaled Franciacorta, capable of personally interpreting a technique used for the most exclusive Champagnes in the world. Inside is the best of Bellavista, in a symbiosis that does not admit the slightest imperfection. The color of the wine is deep yellow, crystalline, with a creamy froth and perlage of sensational persistence. The aromas are a whirlwind of emotions and nuances: from those linked to noble yeasts, with hints of bakery and bread crust, to fruit, where memories of citrus fruits, white peaches and pineapples dominate, passing through a floral and spicy range out of the common. The mineral and smoky hints envelop the sip, of sidereal length and masterful finesse. The imposing material is supported by a lively and three-dimensional acidic freshness and the Riserva wines offer progressively more original and complex aromatic tones. Wonderful Bellavista - A Thought, Not a Production Technique

The genesis of this thought belongs to mattia vezzola, oenologist from Bellavista and one of the first to understand the potential of Franciacorta. Vittorio and mattia realized that the strength of the Franciacorta bubbles lay in the soils, in the microclimates, in the vineyards of this land.

The vintages 1984, 1988, 1991, 1995, 2001 and 2002 were chosen from this thought and from a wine conservation technique studied and elaborated in plain sight to ensure the maintenance of the original characteristics of the wines over time.

Tasting Notes

Intense and brilliant golden to the eye, with a creamy, continuous and refined perlage. On the nose it is rich and complex, elegantly articulated on notes of overripe fruit, such as peach and apricot, then followed by important tertiary and evolved hints, which refer the mind to candied citrus fruits, rye bread, honey, rusks and toasted dried fruit . The taste is deep, enveloping and aromatic, crossed by a shiny fresh vein and crossed by the same complexity of the nose. Long persistence and noble finish.

It requires refined preparations in combination. Perfect with a Maremma tartare beaten with a knife, served with caviar.
