Bottega - Family Vintners & Master Distillers since 1635
Bottega S.p.A. it is at the same time a winery and a distillery, which has a close-knit team of expert winemakers both in winemaking and in distillation. The headquarters is located in Bibano di Godega (TV), in the Doc Prosecco area, 50 km north of Venice. The company was founded in 1977 by Aldo Bottega, master distiller with more than thirty years of experience in the field, which he had inherited from his grandfather, an expert wine merchant during the '20s, the passion for the world of wine. At the end of the '70s the company is a small company operating in the local grappa market.
In 1983, on the death of the founder, his son Sandro, together with his brothers Barbara and Stefano, took over the company. From an artisan reality, which operated only in the world of grappa, it has transformed over the years into one of the first 20 private wineries and distilleries. In the duty free and travel retail channel it has burned down the stages and, as far as sparkling wines are concerned, has become the second brand in the world, after a well-known Champagne brand. The unmistakable Bottega Gold, a Prosecco Doc characterized by the bottle with golden livery, is an icon of style that is appreciated throughout the world as an expression of the best Made in Italy.

Features - Production Area
The Euganean Hills are evocative reliefs located in Veneto, in the province of Padua.
Soils have sedimentary rocks (clear and of calcareous nature) that have formed through the deposit of debris and sediments.
These are lands with good skeleton, draining and rich in minerals and microelements. They are also characterized by alkalinity, which favors the production of grapes with a good acidity level.
The climate of these areas is temperate and is characterized by mild winters, hot and dry summers, good temperature ranges and, in some periods of the year, by the phenomenon of thermal inversion with higher temperatures in the hilly areas, compared to plain areas.
The combination of all these factors make the Euganean Hills a unique area, able to give wines acidity, freshness, minerality and an unmistakable organoleptic profile.
Production Process
The grapes are harvested and quickly brought to the cellar in order to avoid mechanical damage, early oxidation, microbial contamination and exposure to the sun, which could cause alterations of the product compromising the quality.
We then proceed to the white vinification with destemming and soft pressing, in order to separate the skins from the must and finally with the decantation or with the cleaning of the must.
According to the Martinotti method, fermentation following the addition of selected yeasts, develops in an autoclave at a controlled temperature of 14 ° C to preserve the fragrance and aromas typical of the original grapes.
At the end of the sparkling process, the wine is cold stabilized, filtered and bottled.
This wine is characterized by a modest alcohol content, equal to 6.5% vol., and by an important sugary residue.
