Bellavista - Surprising Personality and Character, Grace and Lightness: The Unique Style of Franciacorta

It was born in Franciacorta in 1977 by the will of the entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti, who decided that year to transform a small wine business founded on a few hectares owned by the family into a company. They are located on the Bellavista hill, so named for the splendid position that, from a single point, embraces Lake Iseo and the entire Po valley up to the Alps. With foresight, Vittorio Moretti pays particular attention to the purchase of new vineyards up to the current 203 hectares of vineyards, included in the area of vocation of the "Franciacorta".

Ancestral and contemporary, focused on an archaic and avant-garde production approach at the same time. Nectar is a pure, natural and sensual Demi Sec. Extremely rare, it is the result of a dedicated cuvée, produced with only Chardonnay grapes from at least 30 different high hill vineyards facing south. The fermentation takes place for 50 % in small white oak barrels. A sugary must made from proprietary grapes left on the plant to dry is used both for the refermentation in the bottle and for the dosage of disgorgement. A cuvée with a white and lasting froth, a subtle perlage, a deep straw color, on the path of gold over time. The aromas are elegantly sweet: honey, pastry, vanilla beans, candied citrus and flowers. The sip is full and enveloping, creamy, soft, balanced in its sweet freshness.

Produced in extremely limited quantities, it is the expression of a pure, natural and sensual demi-sec typology. Union of 30 different vineyards, high hills and perfectly exposed to the south. Fermentation for over 30% in small white oak barrels.

Inspiration

An extremely rare, fruity and enveloping wine created to accompany dessert. Told through the drawing dedar margaritas with strongly pictorial features, which recall the American expressionist art of the twentieth century. Colors and shapes that meet the sensuality of a Pompeian mural painting, in which the goddess Isis, symbol of fecundity, is represented in all the charm of her.

Tasting Notes

Straw yellow with light golden reflections, and with a subtle and continuous perlage. The nose is rich and fragrant, composed of hints of candied white fruit, floral memories, and sweet and honeyed nuances. The mouth continues in the footsteps of the nose, revealing itself to be creamy, sweet, soft and extremely persistent.

Pairings

Excellent with creamy desserts, it is perfect with Sicilian cannoli.
