Bellavista - Surprising Personality and Character, Grace and Lightness: The Unique Style of Franciacorta

It was born in Franciacorta in 1977 by the will of the entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti, who decided that year to transform a small wine business founded on a few hectares owned by the family into a company. They are located on the Bellavista hill, so named for the splendid position that, from a single point, embraces Lake Iseo and the entire Po valley up to the Alps. With foresight, Vittorio Moretti pays particular attention to the purchase of new vineyards up to the current 203 hectares of vineyards, included in the area of vocation of the "Franciacorta".

Satèn is the most delicate and elegant Franciacorta. Produced only in the best vintages, it derives from 100% Chardonnay grapes harvested in the high hill vineyards. The selection of the grapes is meticulous to say the least, as is the slow maturation in small white oak barrels. Once assembled, the cuvée ages in the cellar for at least 4 years. The abundant foam, the very fine perlage and the golden straw color announce bewitching and sweet aromas of pink flowers, ripe citrus and noisette. The fine mouth follows the trail, it is soft and creamy, perfectly balanced between ripe touches and fresh sensations.

The most delicate and elegant soul of the land of Franciacorta. The grapes that compose it come only from high-hill vineyards, located in the heart of the best morning exposures.

When the vintage and the harvest have the distinctive features that allow us to compose this extraordinary cuvée, we place every care and dedication in the selection of the grapes, their maturation in small white oak barrels and finally an assembly that highlights their admirable finesse and gentle elegance.

Inspiration

The Satèn: the softest, tactile and velvety of the Bellavista wines. Dedar Silkbirds the chosen motif, inspired by the decorations of the 17 th century Chinese coromandels. The thin line with an ancient soul and the contrast dictated by the chromatic choice give a sophisticated image. A harmony found in the round and sensual movement of the nymphaeum in the villa of Pope Julius III in Rome.

Tasting Notes

Straw yellow, with a very fine and persistent perlage. The nose expresses delicate notes of fresh fruit, plum, peach, pineapple. These are accompanied by hints of honey and hazelnut before a particularly graceful, gentle and balanced taste. Fresh and inviting, soft in expressing its characteristics, it closes with a whispered and vibrant finish.

Pairings

Excellent as an aperitif, Bellavista's Satèn is Franciacorta ideal to accompany fish dishes that are not particularly elaborate. Sea bass in salt.
