Bellavista - Surprising Personality and Character, Grace and Lightness: The Unique Style of Franciacorta

It was born in Franciacorta in 1977 by the will of the entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti, who decided that year to transform a small wine business founded on a few hectares owned by the family into a company. They are located on the Bellavista hill, so named for the splendid position that, from a single point, embraces Lake Iseo and the entire Po valley up to the Alps. With foresight, Vittorio Moretti pays particular attention to the purchase of new vineyards up to the current 203 hectares of vineyards, included in the area of vocation of the "Franciacorta".

A great cuvée that has the ambition to express the memory of the land of Franciacorta and its perpetual renewal. A point of connection between memory and vision, past and future. Obviously, only the best selections can become part of this exclusive blend: the best soils and the best exposures, the best grapes and the best harvest subdivisions. The fruits of the older vines are fermented in small white oak barrels, while the long élevage on the yeasts requires the use of the cork. The color of the wine is deep and bright yellow, the foam is rich and creamy, the perlage of interminable persistence. The aromas are wide and kaleidoscopic, capable of continuous transformations ranging from ripe yellow fruit to wildflower honey, from pastries to candied citrus fruits, up to smoky and laurel hints. The consistency of the palate is impressive, dense and creamy, generous and rich, very long in the sip and in the aromas. In this context, the role of acidity is decisive, which supports and drags, giving freshness and a future.

Wonderful in the invitation. Clear in all shades of fruit and white flesh and tropical fruit. Delicate of wildflower honey and persuasive in candied citrus notes. Vertical elegance with evident sweetness and crunchiness of pastry.

Tasting Notes

Intense straw yellow, with a very fine and persistent perlage. The nose expresses all the elegance that only Bellavista is capable of thanks to hints of ripe fruit, peach and apricot, which immediately give way to citrus and candied notes, honey, bread crust, small pastries. In the mouth it is fresh, intense, ample, enveloping, soft. Harmonious, marked by a luminous acidity and a very incisive freshness, it closes with a very long finish.

Pairings

Aperitif for special occasions, the “Vittorio Moretti” is a sparkling wine that goes beautifully with dishes capable of not overriding its characteristics. Excellent with a tuna tartare.
