Bacco is an artisan company of pistachio production and transformation, born out of Claudio Luca’s business venture. The production model is based on the control of the whole chain, from harvesting to storage, up to processing and to the finished product, and on the extraordinary quality of the raw material combined with processing techniques that, though still traditional, combine the mastery of craftsmanship with the use of perfected machinery. Respect of tradition and technological development are an inseparable binomial of our business logic.

The excellence of excellences in our products: only pistachio from PDO lands is vacuum packed in shelled pistachio or pistachio flour 190 grams. As it may read in Disciplinare di produzione del Pistacchio Verde di Bronte article 2, “the Protected Designation of Origin ‘Pistacchio Verde di Bronte’ is reserved to the product, shelled or peeled, of plants of the botanic species ‘Pistacia Vera’, ‘Cultivar Napoletana’, also called ‘Bianca’ or ‘Nostrale’, engrafted into ‘Pistacia terebinthus’.

Only a percentage of no more than 5 % plants of other varieties and/or engraftations different from ‘P. terebinthus’ may be admitted. Such percentage refers to all plants in the structure. In any other case, the product from plants of other varieties, which do not belong to ‘cultivar Napoletana’ will be discarded out the certification”.
