Surprising Personality and Character, Grace and Lightness: The Unique Style of Franciacorta
It was born in Franciacorta in 1977 by the will of the entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti, who decided that year to transform a small wine business founded on a few hectares owned by the family into a company.
They are located on the Bellavista hill, so named for the splendid position that, from a single point, embraces Lake Iseo and the entire Po valley up to the Alps. With foresight, Vittorio Moretti pays particular attention to the purchase of new vineyards up to the current 203 hectares of vineyards, included in the area of vocation of the "Franciacorta".
Live The Bellavista Experience
In 1981 Vittorio Moretti met the oenologist Mattia Vezzola who joined the company in the same year. His role will be decisive for the definition of Bellavista's style. In 2007, Mattia Vezzola was awarded the important career recognition by the guide Vini d’Italia del Gambero Rosso - Slow Food - as "Winemaker of the year".
Respect
Respect for traditions is realized in the recovery of a unique gesture, recognized in the world as a rare expression of finesse, balance and elegance. The use of traditional presses guarantees a delicate pressing of the grapes and a particular fractionation of the musts.
In spring, when the cuvées are created, Bellavista has an average heritage of ninety selections, some of which fermented in small oak barrels. Excellence is a daily goal that bellavista pursues through the application of the following parameters.
Vineyard - Naturalness
From the vineyard to the wine, everything is entrusted to natural processes. Each choice is made within the constraint imposed by the rhythms of nature and the history of the Franciacorta area.
Thought - Qualitative Constancy
Every action and every thought is aimed at maintaining the typological quality, recognized in every vintage, in every bottle and in every glass.
Class - Typological Recognition
Bellavista offers a timeless class and style identifiable in simplicity and craftsmanship attention to detail.
The Franciacorta
203 hectares located in ten municipalities of Franciacorta. For a total of 107 plots of land that are equivalent to one hundred and seven vineyards, studied, loved and recognized by name. Together they produce 1,400,000 bottles.
Biological
From an ice giant, the hilly arc came to life that from the foothills of the Lombard pre-Alps laps the two shores of Lake Iseo, extending up to the ridge of Mount Orfano. A reserve of light, water and energy that makes the expression of viticulture unique, which has found its happy place here.
Lights and Shadows
Those who pass through these hills see a landscape shaped by the vineyard. But who was born and raised among these hills, who day by day has learned to distinguish lights, shadows and scents, and through them the vocation of every single palm of the earth, who really knows these places, sees a promise to keep.
Respect
We say that grapes need only one thing: respect. Harvest each bunch by hand, separate each exposure and gently press, prepare hundreds of small white oak pièces for fermentation, listen to the must becoming wine, create the cuvée and then wait another four, five, six years for aging, entrusting the final touch of remuage to capable hands.
Time
All this, you know, requires patience and an infinite amount of time.
The relationship between wine and man comes from patience. Time is our friend and we respect it.
He taught us the value of experience and tradition, the greatness of every little gesture and the importance of knowing when it's time to stop and wait.

Satèn is the most delicate and elegant Franciacorta. Produced only in the best vintages, it derives from 100% Chardonnay grapes harvested in the high hill vineyards. The selection of the grapes is meticulous to say the least, as is the slow maturation in small white oak barrels. Once assembled, the cuvée ages in the cellar for at least 4 years.
Bellavista Grande Cuvée Alma Brut is an excellence of our understanding of Franciacorta. It is the maximum expression of a project that, since 1977, has set itself the goal of seeking the pure essence of harmony. Today, it is a symbol of a tradition that aims to represent, in quality and type, the most mysterious soul of the land of Franciacorta and the...
Ancestral and contemporary, focused on an archaic and avant-garde production approach at the same time. Nectar is a pure, natural and sensual Demi Sec. Extremely rare, it is the result of a dedicated cuvée, produced with only Chardonnay grapes from at least 30 different high hill vineyards facing south. The fermentation takes place for 50 % in small white...
The perlage is pleasantly fine and refined. Dynamic on the verge of exuberance in forming the crown. The color is the royal one of antique rose gold, delicate and extremely elegant. The scent is broad and is characterized by fragrant notes of Mediterranean white flowers that harmonize with hints of ripe citrus. The predominant bouquet is characterized by...
A new cuvée, a new interpretation of Franciacorta. Alma Non Dosato represents the contemporary and vibrant interpretation of the great Bellavista vineyard. It is made with mainly chardonnay and pinot noir grapes. In the cellar it is assembled from numerous harvest selections and some "reserve" wines from previous vintages, with a blend that chooses the...

Grace and determination, delicacy and strength are combined in this delicious and rare cuvée. The grapes used are chardonnay for about 60% and pinot noir. The selection of base wines is decisive as always, so much so that the final assembly is chosen from as many as 30 harvest selections, some of which mature in small white oak barrels.
An idea that rises to the sky. This cuvée symbolizes purity, energy, freshness and transformation, like the clouds that enchant as they pass. The Pas Operé, a blend of chardonnay and pinot noir, is the result of a rigorous selection of the vineyard, so much so that it comes only from historical plots over 30 years old and mainly exposed to the south east.

Dedicated to the legendary temple of the Opera, to which the company feels close and inspired, it is the best expression of the vintage and the Bellavista style. The grapes that make up this great cuvée, mainly chardonnay and pinot noir, are the best possible, the result of a radical selection of the individual vineyards.

Bellavista Arzente, wine distillate. Arzente, an ancient variant of the word "ardente", is a term coined by gabriele d’annunzio in the 1930s to indicate wine distillate or, more commonly, "brandy" with an Italian name. Arzente of Bellavista is the result of a discontinuous distillation of only Chardonnay wines carried out in the original Charentais copper...
On Mount Orfano, the convent of the ss. Announced has been a place of the spirit since 1449 and Bellavista was chosen by the friars to revive a unique and unrepeatable vineyard of 5.45 hectares whose traces date back to the beginning of the millennium. Above and below a tree that divides it into two parts, we have identified two different and yet...
This wine takes its name from the vineyard where the grapes are harvested: 4.14 hectares at about 300 meters high, among the brightest and sunniest in Franciacorta. The substrate consists of glacial deposits rich in carbonate and characterized by sandy-silty granulometries, compacted with gravels from the load produced by the glacier.
In Lucretius's De Rerum Natura, Alma is the name used to designate Venus who generates and gives life. A spirit that expresses the essence of Bellavista and his oenological style, embodied by this still white wine. A pure Chardonnay, a union of the characters of 4 distinct terraced vineyards, similar in terms of exposure, ventilation and texture.
