Zanin 1895 - High Quality Spirits Since 1895

In the mid-800 Bortolo Zanin opened an inn, which offered, between the various local food and drinks, even the "white spirit". Zugliano people developped a passion for the "graspe" so much that Bortolo decided to begin to expand the production of distillates. In the '40s, with the inn all in all closed, the son Rino continued the expansion activity of the distillery and aging of destillates, leading to fame the Cavallina Bianca brand. In the '70s, with Fausto Zanin the company expands abroad, in 38 countries. Today the distillery is led by Piero Zanin and his brother-in-law Massimo Fontana, which have enlarged the production to new premises in Zugliano, restoring the old mill acquired by father Fausto. Four generations linked by the same passion, illustrated in the essence of every drop labeled Zanin 1895.

Composition

Starting raw materials, strictly selected and blended botanicals.

Juniper is the basis of everything, it is the primary ingredient that decisively characterizes my creature.

The dried skins of sweet orange.

Coriander seeds.

Absinthe flowers.

The dried root of iris.

Gentian root.

The infusion is wisely DISTILLED and processed.

Description

"The alcoholic strength chosen is 42.3%, a decision that is not easy but among all the tests I tasted it seemed to me to be the best point of balance between the senses and the balance in the use of this gin for the preparation of cocktails . "

All components are balanced. The perfume clearly recalls juniper essential oil together with slight and pleasant citrus sensations. In the mouth it is very soft and enveloping, the flavor of juniper always prevails with a moderately amarotic aftertaste that strengthens its character.

Mixing

Perfect in the preparation of the classic GinTonic, in the proportion of one part Gin and three parts of tonic water. Even for a more demanding Negroni Cocktail, the characteristics of this Gin emerge and blend very well with the encounter of bitters and vermouth. Excellent also in Sour combinations where, to enhance its aromas and flavors, it is shaken with lime juice, sugar syrup and a touch of pasteurized egg white.
