Terre dell'Abbazia extra virgin olive oil from the Urisini company is obtained from the Gentile varieties of Chieti, Cucco, Leccino, Crognalegno, Ascolana and Dritta.
The color is pale green with yellow hues. It expresses fine and elegant aromas: it recalls ripe tomato, vanilla and green banana. The taste is slightly fruity and herbaceous, centered on the sweet character to which is added a light touch of balsamic. The absence of bitter and spicy notes makes it an ideal companion of the kitchen at 360 degrees.
Excellent on raw and boiled, also interesting for seasoning a caprese salad, pinzimonio and cooked vegetables. The Terre dell'Abbazia oil is among the best extra-virgin oils for use in confectionery.

About The Olive Grove
Olive groves are grown by about 80 farmers living in Fossacesia, Rocca San Giovanni and Mozzagrogna, mostly on lands surrounding San Giovanni in Venere Abbey.

On average 14 litres of extra virgin olive oil per 100 Kg of olives.
Harvest and Processing
Harvest by hand with the help of little shakers, olives are put in 20 Kg boxes with holes and taken to our mill within 4 hours. They are immediately worked at the oil mill, with a hammer olive-press and closed tight kneading machines, in absence of oxygen, then extracted with chill.
Produced Quantity
About 30.000 750 ml bottles and around 5.000 between 3 lt and 5 lt tins.
Conservation
It develops in 30 ql steel cisternes and it is decanted any time it needs to be packed.

The lack in bitter or chilli tracks let it match with anything. Nice on uncooked and boiled food, very good on caprese salad, “pinzimonio” and cooked vegetables. It’s among the best extra virgin olive oil used in pastry.
