Description

Bottega - Family Vintners & Master Distillers since 1935

Bottega S.p.A. it is at the same time a winery and a distillery, which has a close-knit team of expert winemakers both in winemaking and in distillation. The headquarters is located in Bibano di Godega (TV), in the Doc Prosecco area, 50 km north of Venice. The company was founded in 1977 by Aldo Bottega, master distiller with more than thirty years of experience in the field, which he had inherited from his grandfather, an expert wine merchant during the '20s, the passion for the world of wine. At the end of the '70s the company is a small company operating in the local grappa market.

In 1983, on the death of the founder, his son Sandro, together with his brothers Barbara and Stefano, took over the company. From an artisan reality, which operated only in the world of grappa, it has transformed over the years into one of the first 20 private wineries and distilleries. In the duty free and travel retail channel it has burned down the stages and, as far as sparkling wines are concerned, has become the second brand in the world, after a well-known Champagne brand. The unmistakable Bottega Gold, a Prosecco Doc characterized by the bottle with golden livery, is an icon of style that is appreciated throughout the world as an expression of the best Made in Italy.

Cremes & Liquors

The Creams and Liqueurs are the result of an accurate selection of raw materials combined with the long-standing experience of Bottega. The Cream are soft and velvety on the palate, with a unique taste and the Liqueurs are fresh and aromatic.

Bottega - Negroni - Italian Cocktail - Conte Camillo Negroni - Liqueurs and Spirits

Traditional Italian cocktail, Negroni was born in 1919 in Florence, in the aristocratic Caffè Casoni. The story goes that Count Camillo Negroni asked bartender Fosco Scarselli to 'reinforce' his usual American cocktail, replacing soda with gin, in honor of his last trip to London. This new cocktail first became known as "Count Negroni's fashionable American" and then took the name of the person who created it, namely the Count himself. It quickly established itself as one of the most famous aperitif cocktails, both nationally and worldwide, and is still today an excellence of Italian mixing. The Negroni Bottega, in the ready-to-serve version, has the characteristic ruby red color, with vermillion reflections, and a typical, intriguing and articulated bouquet.

Production Area

Veneto, Italy

Characteristics

Negroni Bottega is born from the mixing of three Bottega products:

> Vermouth Rosso Bottega, which originates from a selection of Merlot and owes its unmistakable character to an original and secret recipe, which involves the use of over 30 botanicals among which, with their intensity, the gentle absinthe stands out , Pontic and Roman, basil leaves, coriander seeds, marjoram, oregano, clary sage, and above all, red radicchio.

> The Bitter Bottega, a product with a strong and decisive character, which stands out for its freshness, given by the infusions of chinotto, grapefruit and cedar skins, for the typicality conferred by the pomegranate extract, a perfect and distinctive ingredient, and for the aromatic intensity due to the large number of botanicals used.

> Bacûr Distilled Dry Gin Bottega, with a unique personality due to the careful selection of raw materials, produced using water from the Alps and botanicals exclusively of Italian origin, such as juniper berries of Tuscan origin, sage leaves from Triveneto and the peel of lemon of Sicily.

The careful dosage of three selected and high quality ingredients gives life to a Negroni characterized by a perfect balance between the dryness given by the gin, the sweetness due to the vermouth and the bitter note of the bitter. A cocktail with a strong and decisive character, able to satisfy even the most demanding and refined palates.
