Aarke - Home Carbonation. Refined.

Aarke means ”everyday” in Southern Sami, a language spoken by only 500 people in the north of Sweden. The Aarke brand was founded by two industrial designers, Jonas Groth and Carl Ljungh, with the objective to design, produce and sell premium household appliances, a category that has been forgotten by the design community. The first product, the Aarke Sparkling water maker, was launched in collaboration with AGA Gas, the classic Swedish gas company, in late 2016.

The Carbonator 3: Sand is a single run limited edition release featuring a sandy beige rough-textured powder coat, made to awaken the sense and invoke the look and feel of a coastal landscape. As with our other Carbonator 3 machines, the Sand edition has the same seamless, minimalist stainless-steel enclosure, premium materials, overhauled internal safety valve system, and stainless steel CNC-machined precision nozzle for a smooth, controlled spray beam. Sold exclusively on aarke.com and select retailers for a limited time only, this sparkling water maker is designed to bring the invigorating feel of the coast to your kitchen counter for years to come.

How to Use

Fill your bottle up to the fill line and attach to the machine. Push the lever and hold until you hear a buzz, then release and unscrew the bottle from the machine. Enjoy!

No outlet needed--our carbonators are cordless and electricity-free.

What are The Differences Between Carbonator 2 and Carbonator 3?

The Carbonator 3 features an updated internal safety valve system and new stainless steel accents like the precision nozzle, CNC-machined from a single piece of steel to produce a smooth and controlled spray beam.

Is The Gas Cylinder Included with My Carbonator purchase?

At the moment, gas cylinders are not included with the purchase of the Aarke Carbonator.

What Types of Gas Cylinders are Compatible with Aarke Carbonator?

Aarke carbonators are compatible with CO2 cylinders from Sodastream, AGA, Linde, and many other standard 400-425g/60L gas cylinders approved for use with sparkling water makers.

If you're shopping in Australia or New Zealand (where Aarke products are only available at local retailers), we recommend Australian Sodastream and Soda King cylinders.

Where can I Buy or Refill a Gas Cylinder?

400-425g/60L gas cylinders are widely available on internet.

Depending on your location, you can also buy and refill these gas cylinders at your local supermarket.

Are There any Glass Bottles that are Compatible with The Carbonator?

No--for safety reasons it isn't possible to use Aarke Carbonator with a glass bottle as it would require a protective casing around the bottle.

Please only use our Carbonator with the original BPA free, tasteless PET Water Bottle, which comes included with every Carbonator.

Is The Aarke PET Water Bottle Recyclable?

Yes. At the end of its lifetime you can unscrew the bottom metal part, remove the cap and recycle the components separately.

Is PET Plastic Safe to Use for Drinking Water?

Yes. We only use food-grade, virgin PET. This means that our bottles are non-toxic, BPA-free and do not contain any harmful chemicals.

Our bottles have also been tested and approved according to the German LFGB standard, California Prop 65 and FDA CFR 21.

What is The Capacity of Aarke PET Water Bottle?

Our bottle has a special marked filling line to help avoid excess water flowing into the spill tray during carbonation.

The capacity of the bottle up to the filling line is 80 cl or 800 ml and this is how much water can be carbonated at once. The capacity of the whole bottle equals approximately one litre.
