Bottega Senatore is a company that combines the professionalism of several collaborators with the forty years experience of a group of Italian Footwear Artisan Masters. The founder is Daniel Porcello, a young entrepreneur born in 1979 born in Genoa in Italy and raised up to the age of 32 in Albenga, in the beautiful Liguria, with a professional background developed in the shipping sector. For years he worked at an Italian shipping company and since 2012 he lives in Switzerland with his family.

Construction

The construction of the shoe is high profile, the best artisan quality.

The processing is called Blake Increna. Its peculiarity is characterized by a seam that combines the insole, the upper, the lining and the midsole. This process makes the shoe very durable over the years.

Sole

Our cowhide sole is of an exceptional quality. The vegetable tanning process makes the sole highly durable. The treatment of vegetable products facilitates their conservation and emphasizes their style and classicism.

Leather

The fine leather that we have chosen with our Master Craftsmen is the exceptional full-grain leather. The quality is very high and truly unique; soft and natural. Its perspiration makes the leather very resistant to moisture.

The term full grain is attributed exclusively to the outer layer of the skin of the calf, which in practice is covered with fur. Once the hair is removed, the skin is tanned, but only after having passed a scrupulous check to measure its thickness.

In our shoes, the pores of the leather are clearly visible; providing you the best quality in the market.

Colors

We process the dying of our leathers in drums.

The skins are immersed in a considerable quantity of water containing the solutions of the natural dye chosen for the leather dyeing. These drums are kept at an optimal temperature to allow the colors agents to penetrate deeply (usually around 50-60 °C), which in addition to the rotary movement of the drum, guarantee a successful dyeing process.
