Tandem - Intense-Fruity Flavour
Ursini's Tandem extra virgin olive oil is a Medium Fruity obtained from the skilful blend of the Gentile di Chieti and Peranzana olive varieties, native of these areas of Abruzzo. The olive groves are located in close proximity to the localities of San Giovanni in Venere di Fossacesia and the Piano Favaro area of Rocca San Giovanni. They are plants of about 30-35 years of age and produce a yield of about 15 liters per 100 kg of olive. Hand-picked with the help of small shakers, the olives are placed in 20-kg perforated boxes and sent to the mill within 4 hours.
They are then immediately processed in the company crusher, consisting of hammer and kneading crusher, sealed in the absence of oxygen, and cold extracted (23 ° C). This oil does not undergo filtration but only carries out two decantings to be bottled in February. The Ursini Tandem Oil represents the union of the two most typical varieties of Abruzzo, in its perfumes we find the fragrance and the structure of the dishes of this magnificent area of Italy.

About The Olive Grove
The Gentile from Chieti olive grove lies near San Giovanni in Venere Abbey, in Fossacesia, and the Peranzana, olive groves lie at Piana Favaro in Rocca San Giovanni. They are quite young olive groves, on average aged 30-35.

On average 15 litres of extra virgin olive oil per 100 Kg of olives.
Harvest Period
First week of November (Gentile), second week of November the other varieties.
Harvest and Processing
Harvest by hand with the help of little shakers, olives are put in 20 Kg boxes with holes and taken to our mill within 4 hours. They are immediately worked at the oil mill, with a hammer olive-press and closed tight kneading machines, in absence of oxygen, then extracted with chill.
Produced Quantity
About 8.000 bottles 100 ml and 12.000 500 ml
Conservation
It develops in small steel cisternes. After decanting twice and without filters, the olive oil is bottled in February.
