Founded by two half-Venezuelan/Spanish siblings in Bassano del Grappa (Italy) in April 2016 with passion for authentic craftsmanship, contemporary design and supporting small enterprises with a meaningful vision, PORTRAIT Eyewear is the only brand in the eyewear market entirely influenced by contemporary art.

The shapes are the result of in-depth design research with experimentation at the heart of the product, strongly influenced by art-history movements and dedicated to iconic figures.

Coherent with the project’s art soul, the communication is based on the promotion of emerging artists in a fair cooperation that co- endorses both players; the brand and its fascinating testimonials.

Carlo - A piece of PORTRAIT design that celebrates the renown Italian architect: Carlo Scarpa, whose repeated leitmotif is suggested a ”Vesica Piscis” or circles intersection that talk about geometry, balance and “frame”.

Like all our products, these sunglasses are entirely handmade in Italy by genuine artisans who combine traditional craftsmanship with a high-technology manufacturer, pursuing the highest quality standards.

The production process adheres to environmentally-friendly and sustainable practices. All of our suppliers have an energy-efficient philosophy and guarantee a slave-free workplace.

In PORTRAIT ® we care about creating the best quality handmade eyewear with original design. All our frames are the result of the experimentation of form, materials, craftsmanship and Art-driven inspiration.

The Classics series to which this specific eyewear belongs, have celebrate painters, musicians, films makers, innovators and artists all over the world. All references attributable to the contemporary art field in its many diverse expressions.

These models are suitable for vintage lovers, a genre that’s revisited through a contemporary minimalistic design; frames are flat, edges sharp and inlays of precious craftsmanship.

Acetates are customised in beautiful and innovative ways. Finishes include opaque - glossy hand brushed materials, upper rim outlines and hammered-metal components.
