Important Note

Attendance is mandatory starting from the first dance rehearsal. As soon as you have made the purchase, please let us know your age and the name of your cavalier.

Dress Code

For Girls: Snow-white gown, light-colored shoes, hair styled in an updo. Long white gloves and the crown will be provided at the time of the Coronation. Leather-soled shoes are required.

For Boys: Preferably white tie with a white bow tie. A black tie (tuxedo) is also acceptable.

The Program

An experience to remember for a lifetime The Grand Ball on Saturday, begins with a Coronation at Doge’s Palace, followed by a visit to Grancaffè Lavena and a parade in St. Mark’s Square. After a romantic gondola ride, debutantes will arrive at Gran Teatro La Fenice for their enchanting evening. Later, the program continues for all guests with a Red Carpet entrance, aperitif, and performances by dancers from Teatro alla Scala. The evening will feature waltzing, a gala dinner, an open bar, the Queen and King of the Waltz Award, and the Midnight Defilé, celebrating Italian fashion.

For all invited guests, the arrival at Gran Teatro La Fenice will be preceded by a walk down the Red Carpet. Like a princess for a night, you will step into the most beautiful theater in the world. Once you have registered, you will enjoy an aperitif in the foyer.

Dancers of Teatro Alla Scala

As tradition dictates, the Venice Debutante Grand Ball presents a tribute to dance with the performers from the world-renowned Teatro alla Scala in Milan, who will enchant the audience with duos and ensemble performances.

The Most Famous Waltzers in the World

Maestro Casarin Rizzolo, the first conductor to lead the orchestra of Teatro La Fenice in Venice, will open the musical segment of the Ball for all the guests. You will take center stage, dancing to the most famous and beloved waltzes and polkas in the world.

Gala Dinner & Bar

Our Gala Dinner will feature a menu inspired by the musical theme of The Venice Debutante Grand Ball, staying true to authentic Italian and Venetian traditions. The dinner will be catered by the renowned restaurant Do Forni, known for its exquisite Venetian cuisine. The open bar will be available throughout the evening!

Queen and King of The Waltz Award

A moment of great emotion will follow as the Consular Corps announces the Queen and King of The Venice Debutante Grand Ball. If you are the chosen couple, after the coronation, you will take center stage and dance to a beautiful waltz composed especially for you!

Midnight - Defilé with “Born in Venice” Award

The conclusion of The Venice Debutante Grand Ball will present a stunning moment of high Italian fashion: The Midnight Défilé and its 'Born in Venice' Award, celebrating the creation of the Patente by the Serenissima Republic in 1474. To toast these prestigious awards, the orchestra will perform the world's most famous waltz: The Beautiful Blue Danube!

Make Your Debut

Requirements To be admitted to The Venice Debutante Grand Ball:

You are between 15 and 26 years old

Please understand that applying couples will be admitted on a preferred basi ( individual application by exception only)

You must be present for all the Ball basic rehearsals days

Dress Code for The Grand Ball for Girls: white ball grown, hairstyles and makeup it’s up to you ( a pinned- up ball hairstyle is compulsory)

Dress Code for The Grand Ball for Boys: white Tie or Smoking

The Crown and the white gloves are a gift for you during the Coronation.
