Vibrant Beachwear and Knitwear for Free-Spirited
History
MC2 SAINT BARTH was born in 1994 directly from gorgeous Caribbean sea colours, the white sand and shell of St Barth island.
After repeated trips to the wonderful Caribbean island of St.Barth, two young entrepreneurs, with previous experiences in the textile industry, get their inspiration from the island atmosphere to capture that taste of elegance, refinement and practicality creates the base for a new beachwear collection. It’s on the island where the brand becomes reality with the name MC2 SAINT BARTH: MC2 as the first airplane model that flew from the close St. Martin to St. Barth, and SAINT BARTH as the island where everything started.
The flagship store in Saint Barth, built following the colonial style of the Caribbean houses, open its doors to a beachwear collection for the entire family both for father and son, like mother and daughter.

Brand Winner of the First Prize in the Small Cap Category
The Italian beachwear brand born from the idea of Massimiliano Ferrari and Raffaele Noris won the first prize in the new Small cap category, in the 2020 edition of Pambianco leQuotabili.
MC2 Saint Barth is the winner of the first prize in the Small cap category, i.e. of companies with turnover of less than 50 million euros, assigned as part of the Pambianco leQuotabili award, the fifteenth edition of the annual analysis drawn up by Pambianco on the Italian companies that they possess the economic, financial and positioning characteristics to be successfully listed on the stock exchange within a time horizon of 3/5 years. A novelty, that of the Small caps, introduced for the first time for this edition, with the intention of broadening the view also on the smaller but dynamic Italian companies with interesting potential.
And so the protagonist of the baptism of the new category was the Italian beachwear brand born in 2003 from the idea of Massimiliano Ferrari and Raffaele Noris, then in their twenties, with the dream of bringing the colors and light-heartedness of the Caribbean island of St. Barth back to the everyday life. A bet, as defined by the two founders who presented themselves on the stage of the award ceremony, which took place in the setting of Palazzo Mezzanotte.
A challenge that they have managed to transform into a company that now has a turnover of 30 million euros and that in addition to beachwear, in recent years, has enriched its offer with the ironic spirit of the brand, to wink at the '80s iconography and lifestyle. The brand is distributed in over 1,100 high-end multi-brand boutiques, in the department stores and online shops and on the brand's e-commerce portal. In 2004 MC2 Saint Barth inaugurated an ambitious strategic expansion plan in the retail world with the opening of the first single-brand store in Porto Cervo. At the moment, MC2 Saint Barth has 47 single-brand stores but the number is destined to increase, despite the difficulties of the global world situation, as the two founders told Pambianco Magazine.
How the Company Was Born
It is often said "born for fun". In our case it was just like that. Raffaele and I have been friends since we were little. When we decided to take on this challenge we were in our twenties in Sardinia. At that time the market was quite monopolistic: there was basically only Sundek. A competitor was missing. Why not give it a try? It was utopian at the time but that dream inspired us to try.
It was a time when the market was very open and many brands were born around that time. We did it too and it went well. Of course, the basic idea was good, but in hindsight what has allowed us to arrive up to now has been the agreement that has always been between us and the work of everyone within the company.
Massimiliano, on the other hand, had the intuition to create a winter line but with the same concept as the summer, that is, designed to be used on vacation. It is a proposal that remains faithful to our DNA which is color, lightheartedness and ideas.
For the future we start from the past. I realized this year that we were convinced that we had created "only" a beachwear brand. During this lockdown we realized that, instead, we have created not just a brand but a company. In difficult moments during which even some big names lost their ranks a bit, we managed not to.
Based on new technologies. E-commerce has certainly allowed us to keep ourselves afloat in this period and also do something more. In the future we want to internationalize our brand. We have already landed in the US last year by opening our first store in Miami.
