Germaine Monteil was born in Tule (France) in 1898. At the age of 20, fashion designer Germaine Monteil moves to the land of a thousand opportunities and conquers America with her unique style and her charm.
She founded her own cosmetics brand in 1936 and hired top researchers and doctors to develop a science-based beauty program. Thanks to the revolutionary strength of her Haute Couture, in 1938 she was the first to receive the Neiman Marcus Fashion Award which made her famous all over the world.
The first cosmetic product created by Monteil, a lipstick combined with his fashion garments, quickly transformed the brand into a successful company and Germaine Monteil in the "Grande Dame" of the cosmetic market that was experiencing its boom in America from the 1940s.
Germaine Monteil dies at 87 in New York. Today the name Monteil is synonymous with quality biotech cosmetics that keep their promises. Monteil researchers are considered the anti-aging specialists and create ranges of products for every skin type and every need.
