Veuve Clicquot - Champagne The Art of Champagne
Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot-Muiron, it played a fundamental role in the affirmation of champagne as one of the favorite wines in the circles of the European upper middle class and nobility.
The Maison currently owns one of the most important vineyards in the region, both in terms of surface and quality. The 390 hectares are divided into 12 of the 17 Grand Crus and 20 of the 44 Premier Crus that make up the entire Champagne region.
An exceptional heritage built over the centuries starting from the first parcels and plots planted by the founder and then expanded by the various managers of Veuve Clicquot. A heritage which above all boasts the imprint of Madame Clicquot.
Veuve Clicquot Champagne - Cave Privée - 1982 - Wood Box - Pinot Noir - Luxury Limited Edition - 750 ml
A decades-long dream and commitment. Cave Privée is a collection of exclusive Champagnes characterized by exceptional quality and considerable aging potential and have been kept for decades in the heart of the gypsum cellars of the Maison Veuve Clicquot.
He is the son of nine distinct vineyards, all classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru, and all located between the Marne Valley, the Reims mountain and the Côte des Blancs. The 1982 “Cave Privée” by the Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin maison is a brut Champagne that will simply drive you crazy. A third of Chardonnay completes the remaining base of Pinot Noir, for a sparkling wine that has remained sly in the cellars of the maison for many years, but which today we can appreciate in all its magnificent facets. At the expense of age, it is set on a wonderful alternation between freshness and minerality, with multiple organoleptic nuances as a side dish. It is certainly not a Champagne to open every day, but we guarantee you that it is worth much more than the price it costs. It's a standing ovation bubble.

Tasting Notes
The glass is dressed in a precious gold with amber reflections, with an extremely light and refined perlage. Elegant on the nose, it opens with hints of dehydrated and candied fruit, followed by hints of cocoa and caramel, finally completed by references to yeasts and citrus fruits. The palate is set on a precious minerality, which is supported by an equally pleasant freshness. Long persistence, with an aftertaste that recalls sandalwood and dried apricot.
Gastronomic Combinations
To be chosen for the most important and refined aperitifs, it is wonderful with shellfish, and simply fabulous with Parmigiano Reggiano DOP 48 months.
