The Dondup adventure began in 1999 in Italy and the brand's credo is summed up in the following words: "All men are equal, race, color and faith do not mean anything. What has value are the intentions and actions of each person ”.

Our Story
Dondup is a young company, founded in 1999 by the artistic collaboration of Massimo Berloni and Manuela Mariotti. The name is mystic, reminiscent of the Dalai Lama Tibetan men who says that diversity exists only in the actions and in personal intentions.
The brand borned in the hills of Marche, historical place famous for the production of jeans, where today the tradition of production unites with modern techniques. Known by lovers of style, Dondup opens its production history with denim and it is stated in the following years with total look collections for men, women and children.
1999
The fashion house Dondup was founded in Italy, from an idea by the Berloni family. The brand immediately stands out thanks to its visionary collections, which deliver ‘Made in Italy’ quality with a contemporary twist.
2010
The investment firm L Catterton chose to invest, kick-starting the exciting journey that will bring Dondup’s creative spirit and trademark excellence to the International market.
2016
A key milestone in the brand’s progress was the opening of the first Dondup flagship store at 50, Via della Spiga - right at the heart of Milan’s high luxury shopping district (the ‘Quadrilatero della Moda’). This development firmly established the brand amongst the most recognized on the contemporary fashion scene.
Today
An ongoing commitment to quality, research and innovation continues to make Dondup one of the leading ready-to-wear brands on the market. In every Dondup collection heritage takes on a fresh new vision as traditional Italian craftsmanship opens up to the world with cosmopolitan flair, bringing to ready-to-wear the attention to detail traditionally associated with haute couture.
The Future
Dondup’s future is traced in a new corporate plan, led by a team fully committed to fashion and focused on brand growth. The first phase encompasses the areas of style, distribution and communication. It includes the opening of two showrooms (Rome and Milan) as well as revised distribution plans designed specifically for each individual foreign market.
The second phase will focus on design and will see the development of close collaborations between the in-house Studio and renowned International creatives. These developments on the corporate side will further help fine-tune Dondup’s image and offer, ensuring the brand remains ahead of the curve on the International scene.
