French Fashion
Identity
In 1952 the designer Gaby Aghion started Chloé innovating the world of French haute couture with the first collection of prêt-à-porter that made the dream of fashion and luxury accessible to all women.
The name Chloé was chosen by Aghion for the feminine and refined sound it had.
In 1956 the first collection designed by Aghion was presented at Le Cafè de Flore. The success was such as to allow Aghion and Lenoir to hire new young talents such as Christiana Bailly, Michèle Rosier, Maxime de la Falaise, Graziella Fontana.
From 1966 to 1983 Chloé's main designer was Karl Lagerfeld, and the brand became one of the best known in the world of fashion, worn by personalities such as Jackie Kennedy, Brigitte Bardot, Maria Callas and Grace Kelly.
Since then, his vision has been pursued by illustrious names such as Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo and Clare Waight Keller.
Today under the creative direction of Natacha Ramsay-Levi, Chloé reaffirms a boho deluxe vocation with a current character.
From fluid clothes to its most famous accessories that are confirmed as best sellers every season, such as the Marcie bag, the Drew bag or the Susanna boots, the Chloé style continues to make its fans dream.
Chloè's strong point becomes the realization of every single clothing accessory, creating even buttons and bijoux on her own.
The collections are distinguished by sophisticated comfort and carefree ease.
Timeless tailoring and "boyish" elegance constitute the soul of the company, often in balance with an immense femininity.
The fluid dresses, the diaphanous blouses and the lace are all synonyms of lightness and grace, feminine qualities that distinguish the Maison.
The clothes are designed by women for women and embody the spirit of solidarity and female emancipation.
The colors used are neutral, not intense, but sober, full of pastel shades and delicate shades.
