Our Story

Colorado 2011. The main idea was born on a trip back in 2011 when the three of us took a hiking journey in Colorado. Here we met Bill! Looking like a bearded version of Tommy Lee Jones ge guided us through Mother Nature. But most importantly he was the one who reawakened our love for it! His respect and passion for the rivers, forests and mountains was overwhelming and infectious. At the last day of our trip we decided that every person should carry a piece of nature! Nowadays we invest so much in products, but when it comes to quality and authenticity we tend to skimp, taking the first cheap bit of plastic that comes along. With this as a starting point, we took up the challenge to act against this phenomenon and create handmade pieces that embrace the individuality and uniqueness that can only be found in nature. Woodcessories was born. Technology and nature are normally worlds apart. Changing all that, we want to bring together organic materials and high-tech Apple devices.

We're in this together! We are proud to announce our partnership with trees for the future. It allows us to donate a tree for every order that is placed on our webpage! Our focus is not just on planting trees, but helping change lives by providing a substantial oxygen supply and directly benefiting local communities devastated by deforestation and unproductive farming conditions.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

Wood receives the FSC certificate of the Forest Stewardship Council® only if it comes from sustainable forestry! This means that strict social, environmental and economic standards must be respected. The non-profit organization FSC controls, among other things, that no exploitation is carried out in the forests and valuable forest resources are protected. That's a very nice thing. And we are on board!
