The Essence of Cool Luxury
Isabel Marant was born in Boulogne Billancourt in 1967 to a French father and a German mother.
As a child, she was a real tomboy: she didn't like girly clothes and often wore borrowed men's clothes.
Her passion for fashion, however, was born early: at just fifteen, her father gave her a sewing machine, and Isabel began making her first clothes for friends, often using old military uniforms, achieving great success.
From 1985 to 1987, she attended the Studio Berçot Institute of Fashion Design, achieving excellent results.
Her official entry into the fashion world began in 1989 when Isabel Marant launched Twen, her first knitwear and jersey brand, at the age of 22.

In 1994, Twen took the name of its creator, Isabel Marant, and in 1995, her first fashion show, featuring a spring/summer collection, took place.
In 1998, Isabel Marant opened her first boutique in Paris, in a former artist's workshop. Rue de Charonne remains her historic address in Bastille today.

While some mythologize iconic women on glossy paper, Isabel dresses them for everyday life, whether for riding a scooter or walking down the street. Not a single piece leaves her workshop without her trying it on. A joyful mix of exuberant creativity, confident seduction, and a tireless pursuit of pleasure, the Maison Isabel Marant is an ode to the sublime chaos of life.

A joyful mix of creativity, a willingness not to follow rules or established paths, and a passion for craftsmanship.
The Maison Isabel Marant is divided into three main clothing lines, supported by an accessories collection and, more recently, an eyewear line.
Isabel Marant Launched in 1995, the first line is characterized by a sophisticated style, with elegant and casual silhouettes inspired by the cuts and fabrics of the men's wardrobe. A look with a rock 'n' roll feel that simultaneously enhances femininity.

Étoile Collection Created in 2000, the Isabel Marant Étoile collection, this new, more carefree and bohemian line, defines an image that is both arty and casual.
Men's The men's line arrived in 2017 and is designed by integrating women's clothing items. The Isabel Marant man is not a sophisticated man, but a man with a wild side and who expresses his desires without filters.
Accessories The collection couldn't be complete without an accessories line: shoes perfectly represent the distinctive style of every Isabel Marant collection. To complete the look, bags, hats, scarves, and belts become essential elements, capable of adding the finishing touch to every creation.
Among the brand's flagship products are the platform sneakers, known in various countries as Beketts. This innovation has been incredibly successful, captivating a vast audience: from students to celebrities, everyone has started wearing them.
Eyewear In 2021, the Eyewear line was added, which is divided into four different collections: the "new" Collection, the "in love" Collection, the "wilde metal" Collection, and the "luck" Collection.
More than twenty-five years after its founding, nothing has changed: Isabel Marant remains the most undisciplined of the great French fashion houses. In the sophisticated world of Parisian fashion, the designer plays a provocative role. Passionate about living and traveling materials, she draws inspiration from every corner of the globe to irreverently revitalize the urban wardrobe.
The brand's pop-up stores and boutiques are also iconic, the latest of which opened on Jackson Street in San Francisco, alongside those in Tokyo, London, Paris, Beijing, Seoul, and Beirut. The spaces, designed by Arnold Goron—a longtime collaborator of Isabel Marant—stand out for their original and creative displays, crafted with unusual materials and shapes: thermos cups, porcelain feathers, stoneware and wood sculptures, inflatable organic structures, motorized elements, and colorful rivets, just like in the iconic Barney's windows in New York.
Passionate about craftsmanship, Isabel has always promoted handmade products and, collection after collection, works to protect textile craftsmanship, particularly through her endowment fund launched in 2021. In the same year, the Maison launched Isabel Marant Vintage, a digital platform that gives Isabel Marant garments a second life, a concrete solution for moving toward a more circular fashion.
